Story
1 in 4.
1 in 4 pregnancies is lost to miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy. A statistic that breaks my heart. Knowing the life changing pain that baby loss inflicts, and the unbelievable support Miscarriage association provides, I wanted to do whatever I can to give back to them in the form of financial support.
Every day in June I will be doing a 4K in 1 of 4 physical activity’s: Running, cycling, rowing or walking.
I understand times are tight for everyone financially and it feels cheeky to even ask for donations right now, but wether it’s pennies or pounds, anything you can spare would make my day and more so, Miscarriage Associations alongside the Women and families they support.
All my love and thanks,
Suzie
Miscarriage Association: “An estimated 1 in 4 pregnancies is lost to miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy, so we are spending the month reflecting on that figure by raising awareness of the issues surrounding pregnancy loss, signposting people to the services we offer, and raising funds to ensure that we can continue to be there for those that need us most.
For the M.A., every pregnancy loss matters, and we'd like our supporters to make their miles matter too, in memory of your loss, or in support of someone they know whos been through pregnancy loss.
2023 marks a major milestone for the M.A. as it is our 40th anniversary year. In many ways, its a landmark we wish we hadn't reached because that would mean people weren't still enduring the heartache of pregnancy loss. Sadly, the reality is that there's never likely to be a cure for miscarriage. And while ever people are going through this often very difficult and distressing experience, we want to be here for them as we have been for hundreds of thousands over the last four decades.
By supporting our June campaign you will be helping us to raise funds to continue our work throughout this year and beyond. Thank you for helping us to help those who need our support.”
