Story
This summer, I will be taking on a series of extraordinary ultra running events to raise funds for two vital causes:
Shooting Stars and the Air Ambulance services of Sussex, Surrey, and Kent.
I am dedicating this mission to the memory of Isla, the beloved daughter of close friends, who was tragically killed in a road traffic accident at the age of 12 last November.
My Upcoming Challenges:
Having already completed the Jurassic Coast 58km Ultra in May I am now ready for the next few challenges:
• Endure 24: Alongside my team from Surrey Fitness Camps (SFC), I will tackle a grueling 5.8-mile course repeatedly over 24 hours.
• The Serpentine 50k Ultra: This demanding race in July will push my limits as I run 50 kilometres through challenging terrain.
• 4/4/48 Challenge: In September, I will run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, demonstrating incredible endurance and determination.
Why Your Support Matters:
• Shooting Stars: A children’s hospice charity dedicated to supporting families across West London and Surrey, providing care and support to life-limited children and their families.
• Air Ambulance Sussex, Surrey, and Kent: Offering life-saving medical assistance in emergencies, this service is crucial for rapid response in critical situations.
How You Can Help:
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. Your contribution will honour Isla’s memory and support the invaluable work of these charities.
Thank you for your generosity, support and love as always.
Best regards,
Susie Johnson
