This is my second Mighty Hike half marathon. I did the first in 2023 the year after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My diagnosis came after a routine mammogram and I was so lucky that it was caught so early. Macmillan offered amazing resources and support and I wanted to give something back. Now 2 years later, I'm so grateful to have been given my first all clear mammogram. I have more friends since then who have since been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. We have formed a wonderful team, The Twin Peaks Team to take on this challenge again and to keep on making sure that the support and resources are there for every single person affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK and around 1 in 7 women will get breast cancer in their life time.

In June 2025, we will take on the South Coast Mighty Hike half marathon to help raise money for people living with cancer.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. Our team total is £3,000. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
