Story
Please support me as I embark on this adventure fundraiser to what will feel like the end of the world. On Thursday 21st March I will leave Worcester for Scotland. Sail over to the island of Barra and cycle down to the tiny island of Vatersay. This is the start of the Hebridean Way and 295km of cycling. Over the following 3 days I will cover 10 islands, taking 2 ferries and 6 causeways all the way to the Butt of Lewis. This journey, which I am making alone, will pit physical endurance against emotional resilience. The past few years have been personally challenging and I hope this trip will be the start of new beginnings and an outward symbol of what can be achieved with courage and determination.
I have chosen to support UK Sepsis trust and hope that people will dig deep to support this life saving charity. Fundraising is at the heart of the fight against sepsis. It raises awareness and sparks the question: "What is sepsis?" In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths and unnecessary suffering through knowledge and awareness of the symptoms. It also funds vital support work, public awareness campaigns, education for health professionals, and helps people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing Support Group networks. Together, we can make a difference.
By supporting my fundraising efforts, you will contribute directly to the mission of preventing sepsis-related deaths and improving the lives of those affected by this condition. My target amount is £2000 and every donation counts.
Thank you for your generosity and your belief in me and the cause.
