Story
Hi all
A little about me. for the past 20 years I have struggled with alcohol and drug addiction which was triggered due to my past traumas and abuse.
I am a mother to beautiful 11 year old and she is the reason why I want to do this skydive!!!
this has what has lead me on to do a skydive to help raise awareness for children who are first hand victims to parents with alcohol or drug addiction aswell as victims to all kinds of abuse.
Aswell as being able to prove and show my daughter that despite the both of us over the past 3 years losing 2 people closest people to us through alcohol and drugs that there is support out there and that when your going through recovery or healing from trauma or abuse that you can accomplish many great things with the right support.
I have received support from we are with you for the last 7 years and continue to be supported from them. The greatest part about them is no matter how times a person with addiction relapses they are and always will be there "with you" even when you sober whether that's days weeks month or even years you can come back and join the MAP groups via zoom and they don't judge they LISTEN and they HEAR you and they truly HELP YOU.
**MY NO.1 POSITIVITY QUOTE THAT I LIVE BY**
"GOOD THINGS DO COME FOR FREE BUT BETTER THINGS COME ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR, ONCE YOU GET OVER THAT FEAR YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING"
I hoping to raise a minum of £500 so that I can do the skydive Sunday 11th August (weather depending)
HERE IS WHAT YOUR DONATIONS CAN HELP WITH:
WE ARE WITH YOU - Everyone should feel comfortable getting the support they need for issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health.
With You work with people on their own goals, whether that’s staying safe, making small changes or stopping an unwanted habit altogether. By providing people support in a way that’s right for them either face to face, in their local service, community or online.
A donation of just £5 could mean someone being able to access a support session with a trained advisor through Webchat. That one session could be life-saving
Thankyou for taking the time to read my story and thankyou to everyone who donates.
Susie 🥰
