Dare2Dip…EVERY DAY throughout January! We wanted to give you a REAL challenge so, if you are into wild swimming or just fancy taking a daily icy bath, you can experience the health benefits of cold water all while raising vital funds for CancerCare.

Story

As many of you know I have just been diagnosed with Secondary Breast cancer of the bone and liver. This is treatable and I hopefully start my treatment at the end of December.

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 Cancercare were there with dietary advice, counselling and the opportunity to star in their knocker jotter which went on to raise over £10000.

This year they are asking for people to take the plunge and do something amazing by diving head first out of their comfort zone and into some very chilly water, all for their amazing charity. So I am going to do the Dare2Dip EVERYDAY Challenge in January. I have a cold tub in my back garden, dip every Sunday at the community Project Cold dip at the Crook of Lune, so I have no excuse but to take this challenge

It costs nearly £2m each year to provide free professional therapy to local people and more than 90% of this comes from public donations. People never know when they may need us and its our aim to ensure we are always there when they do.
