Story
Several years ago when I co-chaired the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Charities and Volunteering, I came across this incredible charity that did something no-one else seemed to do. That charity provided vital management and business support for welfare charities and registered community groups, many of them very small organisations, at no charge whatsoever to the charities themselves.
Since becoming a registered charity 35 years ago, Cranfield Trust has provided consultancy and mentoring to almost 3,000 different charities and other groups through 6,000 assignments and projects. And today, with a UK national register of 1,400+ commercial volunteers, Cranfield Trust supports thousands of charities and welfare organisations every year, delivering consultancy, mentoring, telephone advice, training, peer support and free resources. It's an incredible record.
Last year, I was honoured to begin working for Cranfield Trust. This autumn, I'm delighted to be reading a total of 35 poems as part of #CharityChallenge35. I'll be reading the poems at three events (one in London, one in Wales and one online) - and am hoping to raise some funds for Cranfield Trust as I do so.
I'd be so grateful for any sponsorship you are able to give. Thank you!
Byddwn yn hynod ddiolchgar o'ch cefnogaeth. Diolch!
