Story
Our team met the inspirational Dawn Dines of https://stampoutspiking.org/ a couple of months ago and heard all about her Registered Charity (No 1203101) who are on a mission to Stamp Out Spiking across the UK and Internationally.
Shockingly we discovered that 50% of our own female workforce had been spiked and none had reported the incidents to the police. It seems this is common - 87% of spiking victims don’t report it to the police citing reasons such as insufficient evidence, believing it was too late to report after the incident and concerns about no action being taken.
The latest figures are truly alarming - 7 out of 10 people under the age of 25 have either experienced or have witnessed drink spiking, with over half of females (51%) and 69% of LGBTQ+ individuals affected.
Members of the LMS and Global Protect team intend to STOMP 10K on Stamp out Spiking Awareness Day, MONDAY 15TH JULY 2024.
Anyone can join in from their own location, just commit to STOMPING 10KM on 15th July and ask your friends and family to donate using this link. All funds raised will ensure Dawn's charity can continue to campaign, raise awareness, risk assess venues, educate, and provide training.
Innocent people on a night out are effectively being poisoned, the consequences can be utterly devastating. If you would like to help Dawn and her team stop this horrendous crime being swept under the carpet then please donate.
