Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are two ladies (Jill Bell & Kate Brown) on one mission, running 53 circuits around Caistor, equivalent to a marathon distance and the elevation of running up and down Snowdon, from sea level!
We’re doing this to support Andy’s Man Club, a national suicide prevention charity. It helps men to get on top of their feelings through the power of conversation.
We can only imagine that struggling with a mental health issue feels like climbing a mountain. The peer support groups offered by Andy’s Man Club are free to access and free of stigma.
We wish that a pillar of the Caistor community, Chris Robey, had known more about this support. Chris was a friend, running buddy and the life and soul of any party. He tragically lost the battle with his own mental health in September 2022.
Our challenge culminates on 1st October 2023, Lincolnshire Day. It also marks Chris’ birthday. Chris passed away when he was just 53, such a small number in years, yet a long route for our challenge, which we’ve christened Summit 53.
Our run will see us complete 53 circuits of the ‘not-so-rolling’ hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds in Caistor. It’s a training route devised by Chris and subsequently named ‘Round Robeys’ within Caistor Running Club. Chris established the club in 2011, helping people ‘Run for Fun’ and for free. The two of us were amongst the early and loyal members.
We are asking as many people as possible to unite around our mental and physical challenge. Please support us as you can, whether it’s a motivational message or a donation via this Just Giving page. We’ve also set up a Facebook page with more details so please take a look.

We’ve set ourselves a fundraising target of £5,300. If you can spare a few pounds we would be most grateful.
You can even join us in our challenge, and pay for the pleasure of doing a lap with us, simply make your donation (suggested minimum donation of £10) and select which lap you want to run via the google docs form link below or you can find this our Facebook page.
