MSF Conflict Appeal

FORGET RELIGION, ETHNICITY, OR TAKING SIDES – what's at stake here is raw, immediate child suffering that demands our assistance and intervention. In the heart of Gaza's hospitals.
Imagine if this was your child, they are amputating limbs from children suffering from severe burns without anaesthesia or sterilised surgical tools.
The situation in Gaza is catastrophic; the hospitals are overwhelmed.
As at 28th May 2024;
Over 15,000 Children have been killed, yes you read that correctly 15,000
378 educational facilities damaged
23 out of 36 hospitals not functioning
104 ambulances damaged
360,000 more than half of Gaza's homes destroyed
267 places of worship destroyed
with thousands of children missing under the rubble of buildings, and a further 81,136 have been injured, (at least 70% are women and children) many with life changing consequences - – there is a constant influx into all the hospitals in the Gaza Strip. The medical teams are exhausted, working around the clock to treat the wounded.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has documented 203 attacks on health care that have led to at least 22 fatalities and 59 injuries of health workers on duty. Medical staff, including our own, are utterly exhausted and in despair.
As someone who has dedicated years to preventing child abuse, these images hit hard. Witnessing this heartbreaking scene compels me to take action. That's why I've set up a JustGiving page, and I'm reaching out to you. Will you join me in supporting Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)? They have partner agencies on the ground, delivering crucial medical aid in the face of often dangerous and hostile conditions, specifically to the people of Gaza.
The urgency is palpable, and my personal connection to the cause runs deep. Contributing to MSF is not just a gesture; it's a tangible way for us to make a difference. MSF is actively easing the strain on the region's overwhelmed hospitals, providing essential medical relief to those who need it most. Your support on this journey means the world. Let's stand together and extend a lifeline to those in dire need.
Thank you for your support - Suhail Hanif, Chair NNECA (National Network to End Child Abuse)
