I am running the Great Manchester 10k run along with a team from the Manchester PA network to help them reach their fundraising goal of £250,000 for The Christie. I am not a runner and did take part in the 10k a couple of years ago for The Christie so this is my second attempt and hoping to beat my previous time.

For those people who know me, I lost my hero, my dad, to cancer on 20 January 2007. This is the reason I want to help the Manchester PA Network to help raise as much money as possible for The Christie Charity. The Christie mean so much to me and my family.

I am also taking part in thanks to The Christie for the treatment they have given my amazing friend Margaret who will be celebrating her birthday in May and who is now in remission from cancer. Margaret means the world to me and I am so so grateful to The Christie.
