Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Each year we hold a large event and choose a charity to benefit. I have been a Moves teacher for 43 years and asked if we could support Myeloma UK as Millie, my friend and registrar, has Myeloma; a blood cancer for which there is currently no cure, but is treatable. When you get such a difficult and scary diagnosis you need all the help and support you can get and this is where Myeloma UK shine. Two years ago we were able to volunteer at the 'A Life Worth Living' Chelsea Garden by Chris Beardshaw which was based on how to navigate the journey from diagnosis to acceptance, but importantly continue to make your life worth living every day.
Raising awareness is crucial for this little know cancer. Any research into treatments, and hopefully a cure, will inevitably benefit other blood cancers and conditions so please help if you can.
Thank you.
