Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page which has been set up in remembrance of Stuart Howell, by his partner Lucy Ward and Stuart's family.

As an esteemed camera operator and cinematographer, Stuart found himself in the summer of 2023 diagnosed with a rare and aggressive bladder cancer. Having had six rounds of chemotherapy up until Christmas 2023, and an operation to remove his bladder in the spring of 2024, the cancer had unfortunately continued to spread rapidly and Stuart passed away on the 14th July 2024.

The last few weeks of his life were spent under the incredible care of the Prospect Hospice in Wroughton, Wiltshire, near Stuart's home. The support, love, comfort, kindness and compassion shown was beyond what Stuart and Lucy could have wished for.

The Prospect Hospice is a charity, and whilst receiving some funding from the NHS, this incredible place offering end of life care at it's highest standard, relies on donations. The most amazing care both medically and mentally shown from the staff and volunteers made what was the most awful time, the easiest it could be for Stuart, Lucy and his family.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
