My beautiful wife Isabel Simpson unfortunately passed away from cancer at the end of 2022. We were together nearly 30 years & during that time we had our beautiful daughter Melissa. Isabel's positivity & courage throughout her 4 year battle with cancer was inspiring. She was so brave. A truly wonderful person & Isabel was always helping others first as a nurse, a health visitor & a superb mum to Melissa. She was highly respected in the community

Isabel even raised money for Rotherham hospice a few months before she passed away with a garden party. She always thought of others first but after 25 years of caring in the community it was just so reassuring that Isabels' care from the Rotherham Hospice made such a difference to the quality of end of life. We have all struggled with losing Isabel as she was so so loved by all her family & so many friends.

I made a promise to Izzy & we talked about how I would help give something back to help Rotherham Hospice. We talked how I could help others with cancer by cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats.

The first year was too difficult as I was consumed by grief, but this year In September 2024 I am doing this with my best friends Matt Gray & his son Daniel Gray. 2 amazing people who want to help Rotherham Hospice & the amazing work they do. It will be an epic 1091 mile ride through the length of the country. 100% all money raised will go to the hospice. Thank you x
