Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This will be the fourth time running the Colchester Half Marathon - and the reason I’ve done it at all ? One Angus Grocott.

It is thanks to this remarkable young man that I’ve found myself running a distance that I might never have even attempted.

But then, defying the odds is something that Angus rather excels at. He defied them to come into this world and he’s been doing so ever since.

And how could he not with the unending love and support of his family ? - David, Jess and Big Brother Saul. I cannot think of a more loving, determined and committed family. In the face of challenges that I can only imagine, their sheer determination, aspiration and belief is a genuine wonder.

And so too is the immense goodwill and generosity of people who have, over the years, supported Team Angus and made his incredible progress a reality.

“We never know how high we are

Till we are called to rise;

And then, if we are true to plan,

Our statures touch the sky”
