Story
On Saturday 18th May 2024, a team of intrepid cyclists will be pedalling with purpose for Teddy's Wish.
Whilst not known for my natural sporting talents, I have agreed to become whatever a ‘intrepid cyclist’ is (hoping for cake?) and take on a 100km ride through the Chiltern Hills starting and finishing at Davenies School in Beaconsfield in aid of this brilliant charity.
Teddy's Wish was set up by friends of mine, Jen and Chris Reid, to honour the memory of their baby boy Eddie who they lost to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) when he was only three months old.
The charity has spent the last decade raising funds for potentially life-saving research into the causes of SIDS, neonatal death and stillbirth and providing bereavement support for grieving families.
The precious funds raised from Teddy’s 10 Year Tour will fund bereavement counselling support for families who have suffered the devastating loss of a baby. This support is vital in giving families the strength and hope they need to rebuild their life again.
A donation of any amount will be so hugely appreciated.
