Story
I'm embarking on a deeply personal mission: raising funds for Claire House Children's Hospice.
I will be running the 5km BTR Liverpool Santa Dash holding Poppy's precious incubator octopus (pictured) throughout the entire run and dressed in full red Santa Claus attire.
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts, and I'd like to share why your support would mean the world.
In 2023, my wife Hannah and I faced unthinkable loss. Our beautiful daughter, Poppy, fought bravely in Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust ICU for 9 weeks and 6 days.
On June 26th, 2023, we had to say goodbye as she passed in end-of-life care with both of us by her side. This experience, combined with the heartbreak of three miscarriages, has been overwhelming.
The impact of such loss is beyond words, and the ongoing support from Claire House Children's Hospice has been a lifeline. Through therapy sessions, mindfulness, and annual remembrance events, they've helped us and countless others find ways to cope and heal.
Every little bit makes a difference:
£25 could allow a family to spend precious final days together.
£40 could help a family say goodbye in a compassionate, supportive space.
£60 could cover a vital counseling session to help grieving families heal.
This Christmas, I'm reaching out to you for help in funding these essential services for families facing profound loss. Your generosity can give more families access to the support they need during unimaginable times.
Please consider donating to help Claire House continue their life-changing work. Together, we can bring a glimmer of hope to those going through the hardest of days.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
Warm wishes this Christmas
Stuart and Hannah Hide
