Story
In April 2023 the ground fell from beneath our feet when our beautiful 4 year old daughter, Amelie, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. That day she started on a two year journey of intensive treatment involving daily chemotherapy, surgical procedures and frequent admissions for infections. Despite the grueling treatment, she has shown incredible resilience, supported by her amazing brother, Joseph. I plan to complete the London Marathon in April 2025 in support of Blood Cancer UK. Hopefully this event will coincide with the end of Amelie's treatment. As we cross our respective finish lines we aim to raise as much as we can for this life changing charity.
Blood Cancer UK is dedicated to beating blood cancer through research and support for those affected. Since 1960, they have invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, the community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job. Let's join hands to make a difference and bring hope to those fighting this battle.
