Story

Hello beautiful peeps,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my first marathon. And, it's fair to say, I'm more than a lil' nervous.

Why? Well, my dad, Burnage's best - Phil.i.am - ran 2:35 in the London marathon when he was my age - a mere 42. And my mate, Jimbo - Stourbridge's answer to Moses Kiptanui - has run a disgustingly quick 2:26.

Ahem! It's safe to say I won't be getting anywhere near the times of those two fellas. But, I've put in the hard yards and am really looking forward to my first stab at 26.2 miles.

Right, onto the real reason for doing this. To be honest, it wasn't hard to pick a charity to run for. The Christie Charity supports Manchester's leading cancer hospital to offer a range of fantastic services over and above what the NHS funds: things like wig fitting, complementary therapies and family support services. These types of ancillary services make a HUGE difference to cancer sufferers and their families, so any money we raise will be put to great use.

Please donate whatever you can to support this brilliant cancer charity.

Love,

Stu x
