Story

As Berkshire’s premier cycling club and after the tragic loss of our friend Rob (aka 'Pelo'), Ripcor is continuing to support our friends at The PACE Centre in 2023.

Rob was there at the very start of the Ripcor journey and a fierce supporter of our favourite charity the Pace Centre, contributing to, and helping us raise in excess of £750,000 for this incredible charity. He never let us forget how lucky we were to be able to do something we love and at the same time help children less fortunate than us.

As soon as I started riding with Ripcor, Pelo welcomed me with open arms and always made me feel very much part of the club. Regularly, we used to pair on a Saturday ride to share news of our week and put the world to rights! A true gentleman who had so much time for those around him.

The Tour de Pelo, in Rob’s memory, will depart from Ripcor HQ Friday 26th May and arrive in Paris on the afternoon of Sunday 28th May, covering some 300km and 2900m of ascent. We all hope to use this as a further opportunity to raise funds through individual sponsorship.

Your support will help to transform the lives of children with sensory motor disorders. You will help unlock the potential of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy by helping to provide intensive specialist education and therapy individually tailored to each child.

You will be giving the children the skills they need to become independent, so any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
