Story
Mandi came into our care after a traumatic road traffic accident (RTA). A compassionate vet nurse from Ashcroft Vets spotted cars swerving around her, assuming she would need to retrieve a body. To her surprise, Mandi was still breathing. Although she had lost a significant amount of blood, the damage was localised to her mouth and chin. Miraculously, X-rays revealed no broken bones, though she did have multiple broken teeth and a scuffed chin that required stitches.
As Mandi began to recover, we noticed that she had no feeling or control over her front right leg. After further investigation, we suspect that this may have resulted from the road traffic accident, or could be a condition she was born with. We held out hope that it might just be bruising, but after several weeks, it’s now clear that her leg will need to be amputated.
Mandi’s surgery is vital to give her the best possible quality of life. Despite her struggles, she has shown incredible resilience, and we are committed to helping her fully recover. The road ahead will be challenging, but with proper care and rehabilitation, Mandi can live a happy, healthy life.
Our Goal: We urgently need your help to raise funds for Mandi’s surgery and ongoing rehabilitation which is estimated at £1000. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in Mandi’s recovery and ensure she gets the chance at the life she deserves.
We receive no government funding, and as a charity, we rely entirely on the generosity of kind-hearted people like you. Your support will not only help Mandi but will also allow us to continue providing care to other cats in need.
If we are fortunate enough to exceed our target, any extra funds will go towards helping more cats who desperately need medical attention.
Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can make a better life for Mandi—and for so many others like her.
