Story
Jessie has been through a lot.
She is a ten-year-old lovely lady who came in to care with another cat called Missy...unfortunately Jessie has now been with us for over seven months.
Jessie has needed extensive veterinary care and has ongoing issues which we are getting on top of, but this has left us with a bill of almost £500. - Could you donate today and help us with Jessie's care?
Jessie’s life started sadly, as she was hit by a car as a kitten, and this resulted in her having a metal pin in one of her hind legs and her tail amputated at the base. This was done under the care of the SSPCA who adopted her out as a kitten.
She has led a reasonably normal life for 10 years, despite this, but the damage to the tail has caused some nerve damage and this is what we have been getting stabilised.
We now feel we have her on medication that will help her to be more comfortable and lead a happy, pain free life.
Missy was adopted recently and very happy in her new home, but sadly, Jessie is yet to find a home to call her own.
Jessie is the most affectionate cat, who loves nothing more than to lap sit all day long on a warm, ample knee or chest. It breaks our hearts to see her still in our care after 7 months of waiting. But we hope now, that we can find her that special home where she can once more share a bed and a sofa with a loving owner. A really lovely cat, who deserves a caring home. She would be best as the only cat.
If we are lucky enough to go above and beyond our target, this money will go towards helping our other cats and kittens in care, or to help us continue our work helping cats and kittens in Stranraer.
