Story
Our team of runners are all based on the Children and Young Adult Unit within St Oswald's Hospice. We predominantly provide respite care for children and young adults with life limiting conditions. We are also there for children and young adults from around the region at the end of their lives and provide care after death.
It's an incredible place to work and very much a place full of life and laughter.
Running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours sounds a bit ridiculous and very hard. But it's nothing compared to what the children and young adults we have the privilege to care for go through on a regular basis.
As a team we're going to take on this challenge and do it with smiles on our faces, raising money for the wonderful families we get to support.
We might get a bit sore and grumpy but we're going to give it our best shot. We're hoping to raise £4,800 to continue to support our children and young adults experience things that they've been told wasn't possible for them. We don't take no for an answer, there's always a way. You might just have to try a little harder.
Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated, it will go directly to the hospice and support our children, young adults and their families.
