Story
At Stori, we believe that everyone has a right to a safe home. So, this July, we are Hiking for Housing to raise money to support people with No Recourse to Public Funds and help prevent homelessness in Wales.
Every year more than 15,000 people become homeless in Wales, including 2,800 children. For some, homelessness is because they are not eligible to access public funds due to their immigration status. Having no Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) means that one cannot claim most forms of state benefits. It also means that people may not be able to access accommodation in a refuge. This can be a major barrier to escaping abuse.
We’re asking for your support to help us to raise £333 – this amount will provide accommodation for someone fleeing abuse for a week.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us reach our goal.
Who we are:
We’re here for people who find themselves in situations that make it hard to live safely.
Everyone’s needs are different. Sometimes it’s about finding a safe space to live. Sometimes it’s about developing the skills and confidence to build a brighter life.
Whatever the situation, we develop and tailor our knowledge and experience to match their individual circumstances. For over thirty years, we've given adults and families the support they need to build the positive life they deserve.
