10 teams of runners and walkers from St Michael's Magheralin are taking on the Belfast City Marathon Relay this year's to raise vital funds for Southern Area Hospice which provides the highest standard of specialist care and support to patients and their families during difficult times. Services includes in-patient care, complementary therapy, physiotherapy and counselling support.

The Hospice operates an Inpatient Unit in Newry, Day Hospices in Newry and Dungannon, Out-Patient Clinics in Newry, Craigavon and Dungannon and Specialist Palliative Care Team in Daisy Hill and Craigavon Area Hospitals.

Each year the Hospice has the momentous task of funding approximately two-thirds of its running costs. To date, this has only been made possible with the fantastic continued support from our volunteers and the local community across the Southern Health Board region.
