We are proud to announce that the Stroke Association has been chosen as our nominated charity for Charity Week 2025, which will take place in the final week of February, right after Half Term.
The LVI Charity Steering Group has been meeting weekly since September to organize a range of exciting events for our community. Some highlights include a 24-hour sponsored Danceathon, a bake sale, a film evening, a whole school Charity Tag game, and an Open Mic Night, with more to be announced soon!
If you would like to make a donation to the charity or sponsor those taking part in the 24-hour sponsored Danceathon, please click on the link below.
Tickets for the Open Mic Night can be purchased via a separate link.
Thank you in advance for your support.
What is a stroke?
A stroke happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off, killing brain cells. Damage to the brain can affect how the body works. It can also change how someone thinks and feels. The effects of a stroke depend on where it takes place in the brain, and how big the damaged area is.
Stroke can be life-changing. It can happen to anyone of any age and affects everyone in different ways.
Stroke Association offers specialist support to those who have suffered a stroke and funds researchers as they strive to find new ways to stop stroke happening.
