Story
On 8th June this year, St John Fisher Catholic Academy in Harrogate is proud to participate in the annual Bed Race with a singular mission: to support and raise awareness for AMMF, the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity, dedicated to bile duct cancer. This cause holds special significance for our community, as it supported Stuart Gray, a former student who bravely battled this illness before sadly passing away earlier this year. Stuart's legacy lives on through his son, Jacob Gray, who is currently a student at St John Fisher and will be driving our bed in this year's race.
To honour Stuart's memory and champion this important cause, a group of dedicated teachers have transformed themselves into a team of elite athletes, training rigorously over the past few months to compete with speed and determination. Their goal is not just to win, but to raise as much money and awareness as possible for AMMF. Please donate anything you can!
