Story
After not riding a bike for well over 12 months and having never been a cyclist, I've agreed (well volunteered), along with two of my (much younger) colleagues (Gavin Griffiths & James Trigg), to ride 418km, climbing 11,844 feet in three days!
The reason; yes to get fit and have some fun (and beer), but primarily to raise money and awareness for The Professional Cricketers' Trust. A charity formed to support the lifelong health and wellbeing of Professional Cricketers' and their immediate families. Looking out for players during their careers and long afterwards, by funding life changing medical assistance, crisis helplines and educational programmes in England and Wales.
At Brooks Macdonald we already work closely with the PCA and Cricket in general, through education and advice around their financial wellbeing. The trust then does excellent work to support those who need support, with real focus on mental wellbeing and member support for those that really need it.
If you can help, please do. If not, please share, and promote to ensure we raise awareness of the work the trust does for those who have given us so much pleasure, but now need our help and support.
Thank you
