I am participating in the Fire Walk for Amber, a local supported housing charity that provides young people facing tough problems with a chance to turn their lives around and move towards a brighter future. Amber is more than just a place to stay; it's a place where lives are transformed. As one young person at Amber said, "People here really care. I've been in other supported housing, but this is different. They make things happen here and genuinely care about us." This quote perfectly captures the impact that Amber has on the lives of those it serves.

Amber holds a special place in my heart because I was once a resident there myself, 15 years ago. I arrived with nothing but a bag of clothes and a drug habit that was slowly killing me. But the staff at Amber showed me that there was hope for a new life and had faith in my ability to achieve something better. If it weren't for this incredible organization and the support they provided, I wouldn't be here today.
