Arctic Survival Challenge · 23 February 2025

We make things better to help staff, patients & their families

Story

UPDATE 22/02/2025 Tomorrow we set off to the Arctic to start our challenge. I’m packed, I have checked in and my out of office is activated. Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. I know the charity will use them wisely!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The money raised here goes towards equipment and projects that will better the health of the people of Coventry and Warwickshire through the UHCW Charity. Please visit their website to see examples of what is done with the money raised in these events.

This challenge involves pure survival for seven days in -30oC temperatures in the wild lands of Jamtland. The team will need to create different types of shelters such as a frames and snow holes/igloos to bring the temperatures up to zero and protect ourselves from the harsh arctic winds. Food is supplied but supplementary food from fish ice holes will be needed. Our challenge is to survive without suffering significant frost bite damage.
