THE PYRENEES ESCAPE ROUTE CHALLENGE, 1 September 2023
We support children impacted by cancer to help the families through their journey

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my PYRENEES TREK/CANCER FUND FOR CHILDREN JustGiving page.

THE PYRENEES ESCAPE ROUTE CHALLENGE - Running from Southwestern France into Spain, The Pyrenees trek is a once in a lifetime adventure. This challenging trek follows a World War Two escape route used by thousands of allied servicemen, women and refugees, taking me high into the Pyrenees mountains with ascents of approximately 2,500m, before descending into Spain. Trekking approximately 50km from 1-6 September my 50th Birthday Challenge will help raise funds for Cancer Fund for Children, a really worthwhile local charity, so please dig deep and donate a few quid to this cause.

About the charity

Cancer Fund for Children provides practical and emotional support to local children and their families impacted by cancer. Our Specialist Team provides support at home, in the community and on the hospital ward. We also offer free therapeutic short breaks at Daisy Lodge in Newcastle.
