This year I will be taking part in the Great North Run raising money for MY Hospitals Charity.

The money raised will go towards the MY MRI appeal. It is currently difficult for children who require general anaesthetic to be able to tolerate an MRI scan. Currently the setup at Pinderfields hospital cannot safely accommodate scans in anaesthetised patients. As a result, at least 100 poorly children are transferred annually to Leeds or Sheffield for scans, which can be very difficult for both children and their parents.

This will be my first half marathon as I am new to running but looking forward to the challenge!
