I am excited to be participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024, all in support of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. This incredible organisation has been providing life-saving care and support to children and their families for decades.

On the day I will be running with by daughter Ella and we will start and finish the race together. This will be her first half marathon and my last. I last did one in my 30s and now I have entered my 50s, everything requires more determination than ever. Any money raised, however small will provide critical support to better treatments, research breakthroughs, and compassionate care for every child who walks through the doors of Great Ormond Street Hospital. For any family that has lived through caring for a hospitalised child you will understand the amazing work and support that Children’s hospitals provide.

My first half marathon was inspired by my son Reece when he was hospitalised as a baby, and I found running a great release. Reece received amazing care at a hospital in Chicago and has thankfully gone on to make a full recovery. Reece suffered from a rare form of epilepsy in babies and is pictured below being tested for 'superpowers'.

But we can't do it alone. I need your support to help me reach my fundraising goal. Your donation will go directly towards ensuring that every child receives the best possible care, regardless of their circumstances.
