Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page in support of Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS).
Having been an two incidents that required the services of the air ambulance in 2020 and 2023, I thought it would be great to not only raise funds, but also awareness for such a great cause.
I've seen first hand how they save lives and I'm dedicating my Run The World Challenge to this great charity.
I will run 40,075km inside 5000 days, without a day off and by running a minimum of 5km every single day.
My next big challenge will be to run between the air ambulance bases at Redhill and Rochester on Wednesday 8th November - joined by a group of lovely runners.
The team will run the route (about 60km) leaving Redhill at 8am and will aim to be at Rochester Airport by the time it gets dark!
I'm inviting anyone to join me, even if they want to do just the last kilometre and there will be cake at the end for anyone that's taken part.
We will have a support crew including a campervan (with toilet), so we'll be supported every step of the way.
This will be my longest ever run and even I'm nervous!
KSS is an independent charity. It costs over £16.6M a year to sustain their world-leading, cutting edge, innovative service and amazingly 87% is donated and raised by the people of Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Your donation means KSS can continue to provide the best care at the worst of times for their patients, and stay at the forefront of pre-hospital critical care.
