Lois's fundraiser for St Barnabas Hospice Trust (Lincolnshire)

Lincoln 10K · 6 April 2025
St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity who supports more than 10,500 people across Lincolnshire with a life-limiting or terminal illness each year.
Last year one of those people was my Dad, Steve Wildman.
St Barnabas deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.
St Barnabas was once just a building I walked past; now they will forever be the people I owe so much too. The death of a loved one is always hard but St Barnabas gave my Dad, and all of my family, what comfort they could. Nothing will ever be enough to thank them for the positive memories I have due to the care and 'good death' they gave my Dad.
What saddens me is this care would not exist without charitable donations. They are reliant on the financial support the community provides, to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
So I have signed up to do something my Dad would find hilarious. I am going to 'run' the Lincoln 10K to raise money for St Barnabas. I honestly have no idea how I will make it over the finish line but its likely to be crawling on my knees gasping for a Guinness.
Please give what you can to this amazing charity - every pound raised will spur me on and the other lovely people who are joining me (Joe Harness, Dave Harness, Holly Hagan-Walker, George Tanton, Phoebe Wishart).
