Story

My name is Steve Nichols and I am having a midlife crisis… at least that’s what my family would say!

On the 31st of August 2024, I will be jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Inspired by the Olympic challenge, Spennylympics, that my daughter, Charlotte, and our good friend Stuart completed in 2021, I have decided it is my turn to raise some money.

Through their fundraising, I learnt more about this dreadful disease and the destruction it causes to so many lives. This is what has encouraged me to make the (stupid?) decision to jump out of a plane. Any money raised to fund research into this awful disease, makes it worth it.

Please, if you can, donate what you can, no matter how large or small. Every penny will help make a difference.

I would also love others to join me on this day. There are limited spaces on the day at the Dunkeswell Airfield and there are also airfields all around the country where you can participate. The thought of hundreds of people soaring through the sky like eagles is so exciting and the money raised for MND research is vital. You can jump from 7000ft and 10,000ft from all venues and if you are feeling particularly brave, you can choose 15,000ft at Dunkeswell, Leeds and Bedford.

To book or for more details visit www.britishskydiving.org or www.skydiveireland.com.

If you are intrepid enough to join me in jumping on 31st August, it would be wonderful if you could link your Just Giving page to mine (join my team) and we can really see the full impact of our joint fundraising.

Thank you for the support

Steve
