In May 2023 Donna and I had planned to backpack the West Highland Way, a 96mile trek through the Scottish Highlands from Glasgow to Fort William. Unfortunately in March 2023 Donna fell and broke her ankle on the decent of Great Gable in the Lakes. It was awful weather conditions, freezing cold wet and with very little visibility. Thankfully we got Donna down and to hospital for treatment. If it wasn't for the professionalism and expertise of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team it could of all ended so differently. We will be forever in their debt.

This May we will trek the West Highland Way and thought, by doing so, could try and raise some money to donate to the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team to show our appreciation.
