Story
18 months ago I had the pleasure of making friends with the most amazing, happy little boy Hugo. Hugo had Charge syndrome which meant he was deaf and severely sight impaired amongst many other issues, but he didn’t care and lived his life to the fullest, often making us laugh along the way. His happy nature and zest for life totally changed my perception of what being disabled meant, his impairments were simply swept aside and he lived a life more content and happy than most of us could ever dream of.
Sadly back in November Hugo suddenly and unexpectedly passed away leaving his family and friends devastated.
In April I am taking on the 2025 London Marathon for Sense! running alongside Hugo’s mother (my partner) Claire (who is running for Great Ormond Street hospital)
Sense is a national Charity that supports people who are deafblind and those with complex disabilities, to be understood, connected and valued.
They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together we can unlock barriers to communication so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfil their potential.
Thank you for helping me reach my London Marathon goal
