Story
As part of the Digital Rogues stream team, I will be taking part in GameBlast23 for SpecialEffect; a wonderful charity that helps everybody get the fun out of playing video games.
Over the weekend, I will be streaming Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 and will be doing a challenge where I have to try and complete the 30 story challenges. Each story challenge that is not completed will result in me paying £3 to the charity. Every time I make an error, I'll add an extra £1 to the donation pot.
In addition to streaming, I am hoping to host a board game lunch break at work, and will be baking cakes for sale at the nex local Gloucestershire Humanists breakfast meeting.
This is all in aid of SpecialEffect, a charity that is transforming the lives of people with physical challenges right across the world through the innovative use of technology. At the core of this mission is their work to optimise inclusion, enjoyment and quality of life by helping people control video games to the best of their abilities for as long as they need them. Their team of occupational therapists and gaming specialists in the UK create bespoke control setups for hundreds of individuals each year, while their R&D team use what they learn in the field to develop freely-available resources and solutions to help level the playing field for gamers with physical challenges all over the world.
