Story
I'm fundraising to support the 4th annual When Pigs Fly Radiothon for Q̓ʷalayu House, and the important work of the Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
In the month of June, the Fund Development team has committed to collectively walk 800,000 steps in support the 4th annual When Pigs Fly Radiothon for Q̓ʷalayu House on June 20th.
Owned and operated by the Children’s Health Foundation, Q̓ʷalayu House is located at 565 2nd Avenue on the North Island Hospital – Campbell River campus, behind Yucalta Lodge. The home has 10 bedrooms, a large kitchen, dining, living, quiet rooms, and playrooms; and a backyard where kids can feel at home.
Before Qwalayu House existed, people with high-risk pregnancies in remote communities that needed to be close to the Campbell River Hospital in their third trimester, had little to no affordable options for long term stays in the area.
Your support can make a real difference for families in need. Join us in walking 900,000 steps and help us reach our fundraising goal for the When Pigs Fly Radiothon. Every step and dollar brings us closer to ensuring Q̓ʷalayu House remains a sanctuary of care and support. Thank you for your generosity and for being part of this vital cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact on Vancouver Island's children and families.
