Story
Last October after a noticeable decline in a lot of his every day tasks, my best mate, dad and hero, "Little Den" was diagnosed with mixed Dementia.
Even though he's battling on, he's needing more and more support every day, which at the moment we are carrying out within the family.
During the month of February, little Den will be upping his loops around Scarcroft Green with a target of eventually completing 1k in one day, also 10K total, across the whole month.
I have a target of 10 a day for the whole month, both in support of the Dementia UK charity.
If you could give the smallest amount in support of little Den and myself for the Dementia UK charity nurses, we will be eternally grateful.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
