Story
Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I will be participating in a number of challenges throughout 2024, for our friend Stephen (Steve) White, who had been training for his first Ironman, in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in May 2020, but was tragically taken from us when involved in a road traffic accident.
‘Steve’ was an extremely popular member of Holcombe Harriers. He always had a smile on his face and had a kind word for everybody.
He was a man who enjoyed the camaraderie of his club mates and shared his generous personality and sense of humour.
He was involved in all aspects of club life, enjoyed racing on and off the fell and in triathlon. He was determined to succeed in all his athletic endeavours and was training for Ironman, which I was coaching him for the swim discipline.
In memory of Steve, who was a supporter of cancer charities, and for all the great work done by Cancer Research UK 🇬🇧 , please get behind this charity drive for Steve, donate and share this page, it doesn’t matter how much, every donation will create the right environment and opportunity for this great charity to continue the fabulous work they do.
Thanks for supporting my fundraising.

Cancer Research UK 🇬🇧 Mission Statement
We're at a turning point
Our strategy puts discovery research and excellence at the heart of what we'll do. We must understand the mechanisms of how cancer develops and progresses to unlock new ways to prevent, detect and treat it.
It's built around 4 objectives – to discover, detect, prevent, and treat – so that progress in understanding the fundamental biology of cancer leads to new prevention measures, tests and treatments.
To achieve this, we will spend £1.5bn over the next five years, investing in creative people and transformational research. We will support research to reduce cancer inequalities and improve outcomes for everyone. And we’ll involve people affected by cancer in our work.

Finally if you need to contact me, please don’t hesitate
Sincerely
Stephen Riddle
