Imagine hearing the worst possible news as a parent - that your child is seriously ill and not expected to live to be an adult.

Well this exactly what happened when my beautiful niece, Silvia, was diagnosed with a Meduloblastoma, a brain cancer. She battled this horrible disease and things looked good until a further tumour was identified on her spine. Then cam the devastating news that it was a terminal diagnosis and Silva only had weeks left. Silva gained her angel wings on 30 January 2024 surrounded by everyone who loved her beyond words.

Silva fought bravely and defied so many predictions. I can’t begin to explain the devastating impact on all those who knew her she touched so many people and all who knew her would say how funny, sassy and beautiful she was. She always had a smile on her face even during the hardest times. This just highlighted what a wonderful person she was.
