TEAM MOOSE Fundraising Page for the 2025 Autism Superhero 5K

Autism Resource Center' Superhero 5k 2025 · 19 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Thanks for your interest in supporting the 2025 Autism Superhero 5K!
In February of 2024, our youngest was diagnosed with Autism. It has been an emotional path full of fear, grief, acceptance, tears, laughter, wonderment and pride. We have been met with wonderful providers and resources who have expanded our knowledge and have connected with us and Danny in the most beautiful of ways.
Danny will soon be 3 years old and is preverbal. He loves sitting in a pile of books, seemingly reading page after page. He loves music, being outside and is so affectionate, it makes our hearts explode. We learn to meet him where he is and he continuously surprises us day after day. His brother & sister have effortlessly connected with him and use sign language with him. We couldn’t be more proud to learn from their empathy and flexibility. We truly have 3 beautiful reminders to stay patient and present.
Danny is our Moose, and for anyone who knows him, you understand. At almost 3 years old, he wears his 6 year old brother's clothes from last year. He is a heavy abundance of joy and strength.
I am no runner by trade. But if Danny has taught us anything, it’s that we can all do hard things. This year I run for Danny, our family runs for Danny, and for all of the magical and amazing things he is and is capable of. And we run for the great supports of Autism Resource Center.
We'd love if you ran with us or if you find you have the means to donate, we are so grateful for your support. There are all types of opportunities to get involved with the race, including a Kids Fun Run, a Walker's event and a full day of Kids Activation Activities all at Polar Park in Worcester!

Registrations, donations, and sponsorships received in support of this event help fuel the vision of Advocates Autism Resource Center: to be the center of the autism community in Central Massachusetts. The Center has held this important role for more than 25 years. Today, that vision is realized through engagement with more than 4,000 children, adults, and families every year seeking resources, skill-building opportunities, and an understanding community.
Your support is greatly appreciated, and your help in sharing the mission of the 2025 Autism Superhero 5K with your community is deeply valued.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Stephanie & the Rafferty Family
