On 18th September 2020 I was diagnosed with Cancer. Lockdown and Covid was all around and very little external support was available.

Once my treatment was complete and I'd been discharged, my lovely nurse at The Bexley Wing recommended The Swallows Charity to help with support and advice with the ongoing side effects and permanent changes I have to manage.

Although their focus is to support and help the head and neck cancer patients, they support all people affected, including caregivers, friends and relatives.

The team at The Swallows are working extremely hard to enable a 24/7 support to be freely available to all people affected by head and neck cancers.
