Fundraising for Cardiac Risk in the Young
We tried and failed for 13 years to get into the London Marathon. In our 60th year we got a place! We’ve never run it before and quite honestly haven’t run for a decade or more but we are running for 3 special people and a charity that saves young lives. Tom Clabburn - the son of a dear friend was 14 when he died from an undiagnosed heart condition. His mum, Claire Prosser died of a heart condition in 2014. We are also running for our friend Jason Goode who died in 2008 whilst playing football ❤️ Jason’s family and Tom &Claire’s family support the registered charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives…
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
