Confidence and a smile no money can buy 🏍️
On Sunday 12 June I joined 150 bikers on my 125cc with L plates for a charity ride out organised by the Ride of the Ruperts (RotR) for the wonderful Whizz Kidz charity.
Riding as a fledgling biker was really daunting before the event. My lack of confidence in myself and my skills meant that I didn’t try to fundraise the way I should.
I had a fantastic day and in the end I completed the 125 miles day out on my two wheels! 🤩
Next ride out is on 22nd September and I’ve set myself the goal to return but this time I will have my full licence. I will be joining forces with the RotR main fundraiser page from 1st July!
Sponsor my commitment and for every single pound I raise Lloyds Foundation will match pound for pound up to £500… this means that when I hit my target of £500 WhizzKids will get £1,000!!!
The RotR have already raised thousands of pounds and I want to support them this year to exceed last year’s funds raised.
Why am I doing this?
Over 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile.
Unfortunately, they cannot access the equipment that meets their needs through local services. We're here for all of them.
Whizz Kidz are the UK’s leading charity supporting young wheelchair users up to 25 years old. They empower young wheelchair users with the equipment, support, and confidence-building experiences they need to take an active role in society. The Whizz Kidz goal is to create a movement for progress towards a more open and accessible world.
Help me with my goal to help kids reach theirs 😊
