My lovely mum passed away on Friday 9 February, six years on from her diagnosis of ovarian cancer.

She beat all the odds to survive for so long and was courageous, uncomplaining and good humoured throughout.

Nothing can bring her back, but taking on this challenge so soon after we lost her will, I hope, help me feel like I'm doing something positive, raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer and help more people to survive this awful disease.
