Story
Hey everyone, as everyone that knows us, knows our son Ryan was born with a broken heart, I have decided to do a skydive to raise money for the cardiac unit of alder hey. Without alder hey and their amazing staff, we wouldn't have our brave heart with us today. They truly have been amazing and looked after our boy with such outstanding, loving care and we feel like it's time we gave something back to help towards Ryan's care as well as all the other children born with broken hearts.
Ryan was diagnosed with having congenital heart defects at my 20 week scan during pregnancy, since then all he has known is operations, recovery and appointments with test after test. He has had 6 heart procedures so far, 5 open heart surgeries and 1 pacemaker box change. Ryan is currently on his 2nd pacemaker after having his first permanent one fitted when he was just 3 years old and we are currently waiting on news as to whether he will be having another procedure or another open heart operation in the next 2/3 months. As you can imagine , as parents, our hearts shatter with every procedure, operation and bit of bad news but our hearts also feel like they could burst with pride every single day knowing how strong our brave heart is and seeing how much of a fighter he is!
No amount of "thank you's" will ever repay what alder hey have done for our son and us as a family, as well as millions of other families, but by doing this skydive to raise money, me and every single person that donates, will be helping the hospital provide the most amazing care to our children and helping to save their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of mine, Ryan's and all our families hearts for donating, it really does mean the absolute world to us ❤️❤️
