Story
Hello wonderful friends,
Thank you for joining this journey!
The access to education will determine a woman's life. I have been incredibly fortunate to simply expect education as a right of mine in Australia. I grew up being asked what I will study at university and what I WANTED to do in the future. I had access to books, uniforms, stationary and food to support my studies.
My education has allowed me to find employment easily, earn money and be independent from a young age. This in turn, allowed me to travel and dream of adventure and ultimately lead me to this journey of a life time.
In sub-Saharan Africa, there are 52 million girls out of school. When families lack the income for food, transport, school fees, uniforms, and essentials like sanitary wear, girls are the first to drop out of school.
Together, with your support, we can start to change that - when you educate a girl through CAMFED, everything changes. £120 can support one girl through school for a year, ensuring she has what she needs to learn, thrive, and become a leader of change in her community.
Just 67p can send a girl to school for a day.
Join our One Million School Days appeal and stand alongside schools, corporate partners and community fundraisers, who are sharing their commitment to girls education. Together we can ensure 5,567 more girls will have the opportunity to attend school this year.
